Thot Theology: Why It Matters to Me

Let’s get something straight: this isn’t your Sunday school theology. This is Thot Theology—queer, messy, provocative, and unapologetically alive. It’s the lens through which I understand faith, identity, kink, performance, and desire. It’s the philosophy I’ve been living long before I could put it into words.

What Thot Theology Means

Thot Theology is about embodying your truth. It’s about noticing the mirrors in life—the ways we perform, hide, or seek approval—and choosing to unbecome the old narratives that no longer serve us.

It’s me, Brae, in the rawest sense: navigating life as a queer person of faith, a thinker, a survivor, and a creator. It’s Harlot Grace, turning extravagance into prophecy, showing that ritual and glamour are not frivolous—they are sacred. And it’s Pup Foxy, living joy, curiosity, and pleasure as holy acts, because our bodies and desires are not shameful—they are our scripture.

Thot Theology isn’t about rejecting faith; it’s about reclaiming it in a way that includes the parts of ourselves that have been silenced, policed, or told they don’t belong.

Why It’s Personal

I’ve grown up in chaos, in trauma, in environments that told me my body, my voice, and my desires were wrong. I’ve carried pain, isolation, and fear. But in the spaces I’ve built for myself—through writing, dance, kink, drag, and community—I’ve found that truth, freedom, and self-love are not only possible—they’re revolutionary.

Thot Theology matters to me because it’s an affirmation of life in all its complexity. It’s saying: yes, I am queer. Yes, I am messy. Yes, I play. And yes, I can still be spiritual, reflective, and deeply connected to the divine. It’s a framework that allows me to exist fully without compromise, honoring all the parts of me that society says should be hidden.

A Queer Lens on Faith

Through Thot Theology, I’ve learned:

  • To see queerness as a mirror of performative religion, not opposition to it.

  • To value consent, play, and embodiment as sacred.

  • To embrace multiplicity, both within myself and in the people I love.

It’s a theology that is lived, not preached. It’s radical, messy, and alive, and it doesn’t fit neatly into a pulpit—but it fits me.

Why Share This Now

Launching this site isn’t just about me showing up—it’s about creating space for others. Thot Theology is an invitation: to feel, to question, to express, to play, and to love yourself fully. It’s a reminder that your body, your voice, your desire, and your faith are not mutually exclusive—they’re a constellation.

Whether you’re queer, exploring kink, navigating faith, or just trying to figure out who you are, this theology is for you. It’s a lens, a mirror, a spark, and a home.

Welcome to Thot Theology. Welcome to SayHeyBrae. Welcome to being unapologetically yourself.
